So as a group we wanted to further develop our Skee Ball idea to move it away from the classic game look/idea. We all sketched up a bunch of different target layouts and also discussed different ideas for the scoring system to mix it up a bit. Some scoring ideas were having different coloured balls which had they're own scoring system, or maybe if you had different colour balls and the holes on the target were coloured and if you got a "colour match" then you'd get double points, or even having negative scoring holes on the target to make the scores more varied, these are just a few examples of ideas we had.

Feedback from Class
So today we presented our prototype to the class and explained what we had been doing so far and the results of our testing.
Class feedback:
most common comments were the shape of the ball we were using for our design. We explained the results of our testing and that a combination of a tennis balls' size and the bounciness of a rubber ball. Also the aesthetic of our prototype- was it still going to be made out of low-quality cardboard or something else? we responded with the ideas of using mdf but wanting to be as sustainable as possible, so cardboard was a most desired material to use.
Tutor Feedback:
the main issue repeated was the material used in our prototype: we said that we planned on finding a better quality of cardboard and painting it to create a more pleasing aesthetic to our stall. also what can we do to make our stall more inclusive? this was a more pressing question that we will have to think about.

First mock up of game/Research testing
A couple of days before class, we got together and started to build our game. We'd previously went out and bought different types of balls that we thought would work well, as well as settled on cardboard as our primary material for building the game.
Different types of balls: Tennis, Ping-pong, A pet play ball, and a small rubber bounce ball.
we then had people test them, and asked them various questions to see which one they preferred. a tally table is shown below of different people's opinions. Ultimately, the shape and size of the tennis ball was preferred, but the bounciness of the small rubber ball was also a favourite. One of us had a squash/racquetball at home that could be a reasonable compromise.
Below are some photos of the rough 1:1 mock-up of the game
